Country music has been a passion of Candace Schick's for as long as she can remember. From falling asleep on the stage at her parent's dance hall as a child, to being an entertainment writer for a community newspaper, and later working with Saskatchewan's top artist management company and record label, Candace's passion for local country music and artists has grown exponentially. After nearly two decades of involvement and holding several executive positions on the provincial music association's board, Candace was named the 2021 Country Music Person of the Year by the Saskatchewan Country Music Association. Today, she looks forward to bringing a new music association to the prairie provinces and celebrating the musicians, songwriters and industry personnel that call this place home.

Tania is a long time supporter of Saskatchewan Country Music. She was a regular volunteer and attendee at many of the SCMA events and award shows. She has been a follower and member of the Prairie Country Music Association since its inception. She is a proud mother of two teenagers, as well as an adult son. She comes from a large family where country music has always been a major component. Tania volunteered to be treasurer because she wanted to combine her financial expertise with her love for country music. With a strong background in finance, she knew she could help the organization stay on track financially, ensuring that funds were managed effectively to support events, artists, and community initiatives. She has always believed that music brings people together, and by keeping the finances in order, she can play a role in making sure the association thrives. It is rewarding for her to contribute her skills to something she is passionate about, helping the local country music scene grow.
